SE-39 Fibre Optic Unmanaged Ethernet Media Converter

The SE-39 converter from Bitstream is an unmanaged fibre-optic Ethernet converter with a switch function, which enables connection of Ethernet networks in a point-to-point topology using two devices with electrical or optical interfaces. It is equipped with an electrical interface 10/100/1000Mb/s RJ45, and an optical interface SFP slot 100/1000 Mb/s, enabling the change of the transmission medium.

The SE-39 converter fully complies with the IEEE 802.3u 100BASE-TX/FX, IEEE 802.3ab 1000Base-T and IEEE 802.3z Gigabit Fiber standards. The use of SE-39 converter allows extension of network segments depending on the SFP insert used. The change of electrical transmission medium to optical fibre allows to increase the transmission range and completely eliminate the impact of interference such as electromagnetic field, stray currents, differences in ground potentials, etc.

Small size of SE-39 converter enables its installation in tight cabinets and recesses. Dimensions of the device are 90x53x35mm, moreover, converter is equipped with bracket for mounting on DIN TH35 rail. The SE-39 is designed to withstand extreme environmental conditions. The operating temperature of the device is -40° to +85°C, so it can be mounted outdoors in covered areas.
